5 gallon Steel Pail Seconds are an inexpensive option for an in-house use or mixing pail. There is no damage nor are the pails considered defective. The pails are made from excess sheets of steel the manufacturer has available after completing a run. Since the material is excess, the gauge of the steel may vary within a unit but all pails will range between 30 and 24 gauge.
Should you need to order a cover withthe pail, the plain lug cover is 29 gauge carbon steel. The dish cover and the lug cover with the the pour spout are constructed of 26 gauge carbon steel.
